EPPN's Vision?

Our EPPN (meaning Neubourg's Protestant Church) vision is to create a dynamic church with a sense of family, where everybody can participate in freedom and kindness towards each other. Where evangelization is a constant preoccupation, with a liturgy suitable for non-religious or newly faithful people. All of this is structured to enable a serene and sustainable progression through a church council and a federation (FFEBF meaning French Baptist Evangelical Church Federation)

The first goal of our church is to evangelize. We wish each service to be within everyone’s reach included new believers. We want to regularly plan times dedicated to evangelization through specific activities (such as concert, debates about cinema, theme evenings, videogames…). Also, we want to be present on the local market, on social networks, and on the internet. (Matthew 28 v 19)

The second goal of our church is to organize services that don't always respect a standard liturgy but that can deal with different themes, and take multiple forms (such as worships, brunches, prayers, debates...) We wish – in certain services - to teach and share God’s Word in small groups, and to discuss together so that everyone can learn how to look for God's will and be enriched with others' experiences.

Our third goal is for our church to be a place where we can gather around the idea of fraternal communion and where kindness and respect are the guiding principles of all our relationships. We think that we can live our faith in different ways as long as respect and God’s Word are key points of it. Thus, our differences become our strengh : we can have different sensitivities, but still walk in the same direction. (Mark 12 : 30-31)

The fourth goal is to allow each of its members to be a church participant (after church council approval) in different fields (worship, intercession, sermon, children, evangelization...) and even to innovate by making everyone feel free to create or cultivate some activities we are yet not used to.

The fifth goal is to lead the church thanks to a church council and not only one single pastor. The church council gathers to pray and to organise church's life, to define its different short or long term goals. Each person who becomes a council member has to be elected by the church members in one single vote. Each council member signs up to take regularly part to services, to act with kindliness and to ensure confidentiality to everyone. We think the church council has to respect God's values. 1 Timothy 3 : 1-7.

The sixth goal is to plan teaching sessions, either sermons (included independant contractors) or seminars with various themes and qualified teachers.

The seventh goal is to have a free and living worship with its own style and sensibility in order to make room for the Holy Spirit.

The final goal to have a big enough church (about 100 members) to suggest additional activities to those mentioned and to set up a shift in the different activities (worship, sermon, sunday school,...) This will allow the church to adjust to dailylife needs by suggesting more activities such as weekly worship, bible studies, sports, arts, teenagers or children activities, food aid, ...

We would like to have the 5 ministries inside our church as described in Ephesians 4 : 11- 15.
